But even more than the cut itself, I especially appreciated how much Shae went out of the way to explain how and why you shampoo, condition, dry, and generally care for long hair. Before visiting, I didn't even realize that my hair would naturally curl like this. I feel like I now understand not only how to take care of it but what each step does. I was a bit nervous as a man about going to a salon for the first time, but found the environment very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend both the salon itself and Shae specifically."

"I was looking for a stylist that had experience with cutting curly hair. I had been to a couple of other salons in the past 6 months and felt that neither of them had listened to what I had wanted and I left both salons unhappy with my cut, feeling like my cut was not right at all. Kelly listened while I shared my past experiences and hair trauma, and she confirmed my cut was off. She did her best to fix it, though she told me I would need to wait a little for some of it to grow out before giving me the cut I had wanted. I left feeling seen, heard and validated. She was intentional and it’s obvious she knows what’s she’s doing and she cares for her clients. I’m grateful to have found a safe place to land."
